SCYCNEPAL INTRODUCTION
"SCYC is a non-profitable and youth run and led organization dedicated to youth development and empowerment with a theme Participation of Youth for the Development of Nation. SCYC focuses on continuous youth engagement and empowerment for the meaningful participation in every level of development. Youth are not only there to be mobilized but should be partners for development.
We envision: “Youths, realizing important stakeholders in the country, will have meaningful participation in every aspect of development of the nation and the globe with best possible humanitarian efforts and practices."Mission Statement: “SCYC strives to work for overall empowerment of youth populace of country using dynamic and innovative tools and techniques to ensure meaningful participation in every aspect of development."
Strategic Goal (2012-2017) By 2017, the organization and youth associated will have empowered enough to negotiate for their potential and needs with the stakeholders. Strategic objectives (2012-2017):
1 To empower and strengthen youth in the field of policy making and enable them as strong stakeholder for decision making process.
2 To empower and engage young people in the development and execution of social enterprises for sustainable livelihoods.
3 To empower and educate young people about the economic issues of their respective concern.
4 To advocate for youth-friendly governance and policy at local, national and global level.
5 To empower young people so that they can be aware and understand the sexual and reproductivehealth issues of their concern using age-appropriate comprehensive sexuality education.
6 To advocate and run programs to ensure societal equity on issues of gender, underprivileged and marginalized.
7 To manage and perform as important stakeholder for the disaster-risk prevention, management and reduction.
8 To design and run effective personality development courses for youth empowerment.
9 To work as a modal organization for environmental friendly practices thus preventing, mitigating and reducing environmental hazards and climate change.
10 To conduct research, study, survey on the different thematic issues and publications according to relative concerns.
